I was kind of expecting this holder to rust or leave green stains on my sink from moisture, but I've had it for several weeks with no signs of corrosion. The included blender sponge works very well, too - it's soft, medium/regular sized, expands appropriately when wet, and is easy to clean with warm water and soap after using. It's always dry by the time I use it the next day, too. I think the best part of all with this stand is that I don't have to put my sponge down on the counter after wetting it - any time I'm not using it; it goes right back on to its stand.The listing says its a microfiber beauty blender and what came home was a dense sponge blender.I really like this sponge applicator. I use it to put on my makeup and it blends great. It washes very well and remains intact.The base is very cheaply made ... I ordered one before and it got lost in the mail so I waited more than a week for the new one to arrive and waste of money. The sponge is nice but the base really disappointed me... it looks rusted...I love it ?
